In December 2021, Gÿe released their debut single ‘4AM’ under Nacho Marco’s Loudeast Records, reaching the Top 10 of Jimpster’s favorite tracks on Traxsource. Going wild and passionate about ballroom sound, Gÿe independently released the most successful track so far, a tribute to Leiomy Maldonado called ‘Personalidad, Control’ producing it out of some words the voguer had at one of the first important balls held in Spain, and hitting now more that 15k streams. After that, Gÿe brought ballroom sound into their own sonic universe to portray their personal experience with voguing and house dancing. They released independently ‘MUV’, an experimental jersey club pearl with some Janet influences, jazz and heterogenous sound atmospheres. This third release is the result of a collaboration with engineer and producer Liz Teutsch and Ableton on an educational Project for Loop Festival. Right after, Gÿe collaborated with artist Raisha Cosima on another last ballroom track, ‘Veneno Pa Tu Piel’. Gÿe produced a remix of this legendary song in Spain, by the iconic 90s trans figure, La Veneno, released again independently. Their last collaboration has brought Gÿe to a totally different genre, but maintaining their unique sound signature. ‘Nanadi’ is the collaboration with the great Kiko Navarro under his label Afroterraneo. Kiko and them first met in the autum of 2023, when Gÿe grabbed the mic and began improvising groundbreaking vocals over ancestral Navarro’s DJ set. Kiko was so struck by some of the melodies that he recorded them on his phone right there and quickly invited Gÿe to his mallorcan studio the following days. Now ‘Nanadi’ is one of the most liked songs in Gÿe’s performances, and settled down a life-long collaboration with Afroterraneo’s project.
